The Fault in Our Stars

The Fault In Our Stars Book Cover

So, tell me how do you feel about Cancer stories? And how about Romantic Comedies? You're a sucker for romance, aren't you?

Hazel and Gus are two special teenagers, and when you combine them you get a very big heartache. But it's perfectly okay. It's the good type of heartache. So c'mon and give it a chance.

Okay?

Being honest here, I'm tired of it. It's gotten very popular even amongst the Hipsters and other people and it's gotten on my nerves. Everywhere I look BOOM! there it is and it gets tiring. But let me continue on to the actual review.

It is a sad story. It's a story that combines cancer, love, humor and books. A treasure, no doubt. We have our main characters Hazel Grace and Augustus Waters who meet at a Support Group and they have really odd sense of humor and a lovely taste in literature. A nice combination, if you ask me. And as they become friends and love though some great times together- you can't helo but ship it.

So it's all ok, it's a YA book after all but then everything is not. I mean, to be fair, we only thought it was okay but someone was keeping secrets. And it all just went donwhill from there and then starts the heartache.

It's a sad story yes, but it's a truthfull one. And Cancer has never been very present in my life, and I thank God for that, so I feel a bit bad when reading and not being able to say "I understand what you're going through." becuase this books let's you know that you don't. But it's not a bad thing. I didn't understand completely as I've never gone through it but I felt the pain, and it had me bawling my eyes out. But it was alright because I get too attatched to them anyways.

So if you like romantic comedies than go ahead and try it out, becuase it may be a 'bit' sad near the end and most of the story- but that's part of life. The good parts and the bad parts. And when you finish the book, or if you´ve read it already, then we can all just hug each other and say good-bye with a simple, and sweet okay.
