Book cover version 2014 |
By now we've retrieved Zeus' big badass lightning bolt, we've survived our journey to the Sea of Monsters, but we don't get a rest yet. In fact, things are barely half way there.
So tell me, are you familiar with Atlas, this big Titan that holds up the sky? No? Well, we're all about to.
And demigods, we've got a dam problem.
Book three in the Percy Jackson series and I am so in love. With him, with this world and with these stories.
It's just this fantastic combination of humor, action adn adventure and even a bit of romance. But not enough to make it the most important part of the book/series which is very nice.
In this book we create more memories, more inside jokes and widen our knowledge of Greek Mythology. New characters are presented and we go through quite a lot. Percy is the underdog as always but that's perfectly okay because we all love an underdog. Especially one whose the underdog for the right reasons.
By this book Camp Half-Blood feels like home and Percy Jackson along with Annabeth Chase and Grover and even Clarrisse feel like life-long friends. So I was perfectly okay with this book. It was great and got me anxious for the last two- especially since it hints at what is to happen. And though it isn't going to be an easy journey, I know we're going to be able pull through. We are heroes, after all.
Keep strong, because this one is packed with lots of feels. And may the gods be with you.
