Four: A Divergent Collection

Book cover

So tell me, have you read Divergent? For this to make somewhat sense I recommend it. Just the first book is okay.

Four is basically (as the name says) a collection of short stories in Tobias Eaton's POV.

You want to know what I thought of this 16 year old boy Stiff? Read on to see.

I really enjoyed this collection. It had been almost a year since I'd been in Divergent's world so it was a bit odd in the beginning. I had forgotten the feel, the flavor of it but it was nice to return and feel familiar with it once again.

To be in Four's mind was too, a great journey. I, curiously enough, felt I had more in common with him than with Tris. I really enjoyed being in his head especially as it told us his journey from since he was in Abnegation. I got to understand him more and so, my respect and like grew for him as well.

We get a view of his relation with his dad- when he was still scared of him. We get to see him becoming the Dauntless Initiate Trainer we first met him to be. And what I really liked also, we getting to see the rivalry between him and Eric forming. It was as if there were a few puzzle pieces missing before that I had not noticed until that moment.

And well all in all, it's a good book. Gets you familiar with the character and as it is considerably short, it doesn't waste much time to read other things. I read it in a day I believe.

So, if you enjoy underdogs, rivalry, being inside teenage boys' heads or simply Divergent- then read this. You can find the PDF in Google. Seriously.
